ICMLive Operator Client - graphs show alert themes consistently
Currently, alert ghe graphs are dynamic and the trace colours set in the template are just used on the traces in order as they are added to the graph.
It is important alert themes are consistent so they communicate flood warnings in a clear. In some projects, the colours of the flood alerts are regulated by law. Adding in confusion by having the colours change creates real risks of the wrong alerts being disseminated.

Use tracers for water on mesh elements
Our clients are more and more trying to figure out if damage to a property is caused by water from the public area (which is the responsibility of the client) or from private areas (which is not). When rainfall on mesh can pick up a tracer (eg. from existing objects like infiltration zones or roughness zones) we think we'll be able to better help our clients.

Improve database and results files read performance
When opening an ICM network for the first time (i.e. no network files in the local files "Working" folder), the WDS reads through the database file in 4 kB chunks to retrieve the requested version of the network. This read process appears to be limited to a disk "queue depth" of 1 and is therefore very sensitive to drive latency. In a cloud environment, drive latency can be in single digit milliseconds. Therefore, the read process might achieve 400 x 4 kB = 1.6 MB per second. If the database file is large, it can take many minutes for the…

Mesh zone on Mesh Zone
The ability to have a mesh zone on a mesh zone. This would be useful when modelling Attenuation basins in 3D (using ground model / breaklines). It would easily allow to have a coarse mesh for the basin floor to improve the stability of Outfall 2Ds (where small triangles can limit flow to the outfall 2D) but still allow for a finer mesh for basin sides and in your study area.

Copying view from one network to another
It would be useful to be able to take the view from one open network (X, Y and Zoom level) and apply it quickly to another network - e.g. to do a quick visual comparison between the two networks.
3 votesInteresting idea. Could I ask you to clarify the visual comparison task; e.g What are you comparing?

It will great if we can control the display of the labels in ICM to have a better visualization.
For example : the possiblity of changing the precision in the labels (the decimal number of the value )

Faster release Exchange license
After a user uses the Exchange license, it takes ages before the license is released again so another user can use it.

Remove Need to Validate When Changing Background Layers
Suggest that a network not need to validated or show that it was edited (red circle) for only switching on/off a background (e.g., aerial)layer would be appreciated. Keeping scenarios straight is tough enough w/out the additional heart attack when I don’t recall changing anything.

Pump Station Modelling
Infoworks ICM pump station modelling principle is very basic, adding a pump between two nodes is highly hypothetical. There is no way to add pump station head losses.
I would like to suggest incorporating pump station modelling (for Rotodynamic pumps) with pump curve and system curve theory. Then the model results would be much more realistic.
There must be a tool to incorporate all the accessories in pump stations, between two nodes. Like pump station type, drywall wet well. And Parameters to calculate Pump suction and discharge losses, like all fittings, non-return valves, discharge valves, flow meters etc. This would…2 votes -
odour
Air Phase Model Function - Can Innovyze consider to include air phase modelling function in InfoWorks? At moment, the odour modelling is done separately by various methods using the sewer hydraulic data as the input. As a result, the odour modelling has to be done by different teams and often costing. There is a strong market demand to integrate the liquid and air phase modelling, for example DHI already has a function. It is technically challenging to have a full integration, however there are well developed simplified ways to achieve that.

Improve ground infiltration simulation parameters.
Could we have a 'Node level affects groundwater infiltration' for the soil store please?
This simulation parameter was introduced to InfoWorks ICM recently to limit infiltration from the ground store to the model. Could this be extended to limit flows from the soil store as well?
As often when are using models for design purposes, infiltration can become excessive in design events compared to verification. Therefore we have to manually reduce soil store inflow, often requiring new limiting discharge orifices and nodes at each subcatchment with GI applied. Thanks15 votes -
Our clients would like to see InfoWorks ICM apply daylight savings time corrections to wastewater and tradewaste inflows
As a toggle setting in the run settings or in a wastewater/tradewaste pattern, this would shift the diurnal patterns based on the simulation date and daylight savings time start/end dates instead of working on standard time all year long. Mathematically, this is really straightforward, but may require internal indexes (and warning messages?) for the DST start/end dates. It would also require something to turn this feature on and off as there are several areas that do not observe DST. This feature would help us more accurately predict combined sewer overflow volumes and durations where base wastewater flow has a significant…

As a user I want to change the amount of decimals when applying Autolabels in Infoworks ICM
I want to change the amount of decimals when I apply Autolabels in Properties and Themes. Right now the default is three decimal places which I cannot edit.

Seamless Import/Export of Civil 3d pipe networks into ICM.
Seamless Import/Export of Civil 3d pipe networks into ICM. It just make sense now the companies are joined rather than having to work-around/manipulate data between the two.

Know which master database refers to a working/results folder
Create a means to know which master database is connected to a working / results folder. i.e. to go from the long name of the working / results folder to the ICM master database. A simple text file within the folder could give the name of the master database and version of ICM,

Overhaul to the Hyperlinks system to allow attached data to be transportable
ICM and Infoasset databases offer a system that allow hyperlinked documents to be connected to the database. Primarily this to allow survey, as laid and other background data to be available to the user and is a powerful function that if used correctly would allow databases to become much easier / quicker to check, improving quality and confidence. Currently the models are abstract representations of the systems, and to check detail requires arduous library time retracing other people's steps. Having the data bundled with the model is a significant improvement.
However, two practical problems arise, since many different organizations work…

ICM Template for printing muti-page Geoplan and Long Section views
I can already batch print geoplans and Long Sections by themselves. How to print them together? My current approach is to learn how to manipulate the output PDFs using PDF TK server, ghostscript, and potentially pdfjam, but some of these are new tools for me and I haven't yet made it work. Is there some way to do it using the Print Layout?
Current work in progress:
Batch printing geoplan
Save each spatial extents using Spatial Bookmarks
Set up print layout, then select batch print button from toolbar in the Print Layout
Geoplan showing each bookmark is saved on its…1 vote -
Generate individual rainfall event files
I would like a feature in which you can see individual rainfall event files within a model group once you have generated rainfall rather than the current setup of having to export from the software then having to import back into the software to see the generated rainfall split into the individual event files.
Although you can view the individual event files by right-clicking the generator files and selecting Open As>Grid Editor (TVD read-only), this is not helpful if you wanted to simulate specific rainfall events in which it is easier to select the specific rainfall event file you want…

Merge pond and storage nodes and increase their functionality
Pond nodes:
- allow variable infiltration at different levels (up to 3 different rates)
- allow variable perimeter with level i.e. plan area through which side infiltration can occurs can vary
- no porosity functionStorage nodes:
- 1 porosity value (which only works below ground, above ground it is assumed to be 100%)
- fixed perimeter for infiltration i.e. assumes cylindrical shape for infiltration (despite the plan area changing with level)
- fixed infiltration rate (no change with height)It is not possible to model both porosity and a change in infiltration with height.
I propose that pond and…
