Different shape sluice or pipe/orifice closure option
We usually model closed gates as sluices, as they are the ones that can easily be closed (by setting the height to zero). The downside of this is that it can only be a rectangle (and it usually closes off a round pipe). An orifice now has the nice option to set it at either circular or rectangular, but closing it is not possible (setting the flow limit to zero would make sense here, but doesn’t work). Is it possible to do something about that? In WSPro you have the nice checkbox Close Pipe for all objects, that would come…

RTC - Allow data to be pasted into tables and it automatically generate the rows
The only way to add new rows to an RTC Table is to manual click on them - if would be better if you could paste a large number of rows from Excel and it auto-generates the rows in the same way as when pasting data into the Inflow table.

Bank line ground model update from within properties view
Make update from ground model possible from within properties view (as is already possible for cross sections)

Export run results to csv: timestep options
When exporting run results to csv, it would be useful to select a timeframe you wish to export (excluding for instance the initial conditions that haven't settled into a level that makes sense). Also exporting at a different timestep than the one your run uses, would be nice. These features could maybe be added to the replay options dialog?

Cross section result view: keyboard shortcuts to go upstream or downstream
In the cross section result view (showing the water level), in RS there was the possibility to go upstream or downstream with PageUp/PageDwn, in ICM you have to right click to move upstream or downstream

RTC rules: order alphabetically
When copying rules, they appear in seemingly random order. When you have a lot of rules it can be very difficult to have an overview

Give a warning when copying between networks with different user defined defaults
when copying for example conduits between networks with flags #D for headloss and roughness, the values are adapted to the user defined values in the new network. This can be confusing.

Include regulator state in graph reports
this can only be done with custom graphs, would be easier in standard graphs for run comparison

Better functionality for multiruns
- number episodes in episode collection
- sort runs according to number
- greater timesteps for runoff only runs
- resume with next run if a run fails
- easy export of maximum results of runs (without results of the runoff only runs)

RTC range: give the choice to include or exclude the minimum or maximum value
Make it possible to define 'greater than (GT)' or 'greater or equal (GE)' in a range in RTC.

Possibility to turn off report windows
Now, when updating elements from ground model, extending cross sections, inserting an opening in a bridge… a report is displayed. This can be very annoying when building up a model and you have to click the report windows away. It would be useful to have an option to turn off these report windows.

More flexibility for pdm runs
We would like to be able to simulate warmup and hydraulic simulations with different input sources. Now the run crashes if for example rainfall data does not match the saved state of the warmup run. It would also be very useful to make it possible to do the warmup run with a higher calculation time step.

Pause simulations during server restarts
Please could we have an ability to pause simulations whilst an InfoWorks ICM server is restarted?
As part of the wider drive to reduce CSO spills there is an increasing need to run long time series through sewer models. This can require models to simulate for multiple weeks; this isn't compatible with automatic updating on servers, which restarts them to apply updates, which causes any active simulation to fail.
Microsoft Azure for example has a monthly patching cycle and sometimes more frequent for ad-hoc critical security updates. With simulations running for multiple weeks and more InfoWorks users moving to cloud…2 votes -
Add US and DS HGLs for links
Currently ICM link results report the US and DS total head values. As a user, I'd like to see the HGL at the US and DS locations consistent with the node results. This would be useful on graphs and long sections.

Create channel section lines from points
Survey data for river sections is often delivered as point data. To be able to create a model in ICM from this it needs to be converted into a line. This functionality was available in RS.

Show individual vertex points in the geoplan at all zooms
Vertices are only shown in the geoplan when zoomed in. It would be useful to see these at all zoom levels for cross sections and bank lines.

Include a new conduit type for tile drains
Add a new conduit type to model tile drains or underdrains. These are common in agricultural fields and certain stormwater control structures. Currently, its difficult to model these since you can't account for the time it takes to infiltrate from the surface to the drain based on its depth.

Slot Width field for 1D conduits
Could the Slot Width field be enabled for Conduit Type "Conduit" and results generated by the application of the numerical correction tool been stored there for greater clarity, thanks.
4 votesThanks for the idea!
The slot width field is used to define the width of the drain when using a 2D conduit. Are you after a field to define preissmann slot?

Use PDM Soil moisture deficit variable to trigger RTC
Just like you can set thresholds or target values for level or flow in an RC I would like to be able to use the Soil moisture deficit variable from PDM subcatchment to regulate structures or variable pumps. This could be useful to somewhat reproduce the behavior of water users such as pond fishermen or irrigating farmers.

Sediment depth variable for Storage nodes
It appears that amounts of sediment are carried along when water is overflowing over the banks of the river: part of the sediment from sediment fractions SF1 and SF2 leaves the river and goes to the Storage Areas during flooding. Although this is taken into account in the sediment balance, there is no variable being saved for the Storage Node in order to know how much sediment may accumulate in that storage area, nor can it be exported or visualized. Could you add the quality variable "sediment depth" present for the river sections also for the storage node (you don't…
