Support for multiple screens
Would like to be able to work across multiple screens - plan view on one screen and long section/grid/graph on another.

License management functions
As ICM is fundamentally a workgroup environment, so shared across multiple offices and multiple users, we need to be able to understand license usage of user interfaces and simulation engines. We need ICM to log usage so we can then develop tools to interpret that information or build this into ICM so we can see usage. We often have instances when users cannot get licenses but there is no way to log this so we can establish a business case for purchasing more licenses. Similar with simulation engines we need to be able to report usage to demonstrate the need…
39 votesWe are currently developing an updated license system for all Innovyze products. This will include the ability to identify license usage information.
We are currently gathering additional requirements for these features. We are more than happy to discuss these requirements.

Excel autosum and average in the Grid window
It would be useful to get an autosum of a selection in the grid window at the bottom of the screen in much the same way Excel does. I know this can be done using the Overview function. But would be quicker and easier if it appeared in the panel at the bottom. i.e. if I was to select the population of a few subcatchments I would quickly be able to see the population. Perhaps also, if I changed scenarios I might be able to view changes in population between growth scenarios. Not essential, but nice to have.

Validation as a background task
Validation as a background task so UI isn't locked.
35 votesWe have spent quite a bit of time investigating how validation improvements might be achieved, whether that be through validation as a background task or whether it be with improvements on the speed of validation in the first place.
There is no silver bullet which has been identified so far, the validation is already very efficient with minimal potential for speed improvements and there are issues with it as a background task as previously mentioned which we haven’t got fully fledged solutions to yet.

FEH13 Peak intensity fix
Fix required for over estimation of summer peak intensities within FEH13 design rainfall brought on by a smaller timesteps being used and not a minimum % of the total duration.
Also to separate out the Areal Reduction Factor and Seasonal Correction Factors for clarity of the data.
30 votesThank you for the requests, as the urgency is around the ability to submit user defined timesteps, the areal reduction factor and seasonal correction factors will be treated as a separate request.
As a further update to any previously provided, we can confirm that an additional feature for the ReFH2 rainfall is due to be included in the next release scheduled of InfoWorks ICM for the middle of February. Rather than the current approach, this will allow a user to set a timestep for ReFH2 rainfall generation in the generator dialog.
In this first iteration it is likely that a single timestep entry will be available. We appreciate that ideally multiple entries corresponding to multiple durations defined would be better so will look at options for this enhancement for a future release.

Have all the functionality available in the 'Manage scenarios' dialogue in the ICM, to also be available via ICM Exchange
Options such as 'Reintegrate' & Duplicate'

Partially complete a simulation and review results and then opt to continue the simulation
Simulations often take a long time to run. I would like to be able to "pause" the simulation and review the results to check that the initialisation is correct, or that an RTC is working properly, and if I am happy then continue the simulation to completion.
25 votesThe approach which we are looking to leverage here is one which deviates a little from the original request but gives the same ability to interrogate results part way through a simulation. After investigating options, the best appears to be to have a run for the total duration you are interested in, then set a state saving checkbox in the run and when you wish to interrogate simulation results stop the simulation. We will then make use of ICMLive developed concatenation of results to allow us to tie in the “continuation run” with the results which were stopped earlier. There is a lot more detail to this than I can add here, but it should meet the need.

Use ruby to edit rainfall dialogue box
Exporting rainfall files to csv for manipulation creates details of the storm events themselves, we would like to be able to change the return periods, durations, multiplying factors shown in the rainfall dialogue editor instead.

Adjust mesh locally without remeshing all
Adjust mesh locally without having to remesh the entire 2D zone.
24 votesWe are looking into this, but for the majority of cases it might be that there is already a significant improvement related to this with the new “Clip meshing” which was released with version 11.0 of the software, but in a prototype state, please ensure outputs are reviewed before use. The reason it provides an improvement is that it does a coarse mesh first (which is likely to remain unchanged if only small amendments are made) and follows this with a more detailed mesh after. It would be great to get any feedback you might have on your experiences with the Clip meshing and consistency of results.

Set up runs more efficiently
Is there a matrix type tool in ICM that allows you to easily set up complicated run set ups? i.e. for this 1 Model Network, these runs with use these rainfall files, inflow files, WWG, etc are needed.
Model Name
Base ModelRainfall Inflow WWG Tradeflows
M5-30 Inf-M5-30 WWG1 Trade1
M5-240 Inf-M5-240 WWG1 Trade1
M5-960 Inf-M5-960 WWG1 Trade1
M10-30 Inf-M10-30 WWG1 Trade1
M10-240 Inf-M10-240 WWG1 Trade1
M10-960Inf-M10-960 WWG1 Trade1With same timesteps and 2D parameters?

Integrate a Template option for setting out run group in Infoworks ICM
I am working on project which includes 50 models. where we have to give runs for different return periods and durations for each model. It is a time taking process, which unnecessarily create chances of error by creating run setup every time. is it possible to include a run set up template, which can be changed as per the user requirement and saved for the further use.?

Additional keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts can really help speed up processes and workflows in InfoWorks ICM but some of the menu options do not yet have these. Would it be possible to add the missing keyboard shortcuts, specifically for repeatable tasks such as updating objects from ground models?

Statistic Report Batch Processing
As a use the ability to 'schedule' statistical reports would be extremely useful. currently if i'm generating a spill report on several overflows for a 10yr TSR series this can take several hours. The process effectively locks the software and prevents any other operation from been undertaken. This is highly inefficient and costly especially when optioneering if several iterations are needed. Shorter TSR's can be run in this case however even a year with several CSO's can take 20-30mins.

Save toolbar and screen configurations and locations
I run InfoWorks on my laptop, and have an external monitor. I find I'm often searching for toolbar buttons because switching between the two monitors of different sizes re-configures the locations of the various toolbars and screens.
For example, on my external monitor there is enough room to have the User Actions toolbar displaying, but my laptop is smaller and there is no longer enough room for it, so instead of two rows it bumps down to three and moves my toolbars all around. Adding in profiles or even a scrollable space for the toolbars so the ones to the…

'Find and Replace Flags' tool on multiple networks.
As a large organisation with multiple users of InfoWorks ICM we have a set up with one masterdatabase and everyone using groups off this in order to keep all users on the same version. The downside is, that as users import previous models more flags get added, which are now obsolete in our current specification leading to hundreds of flags in the masterdatabase. It is not practicable to use the find and replace flags tool on each network individually, if this feature was expanded to be able to use on multiple networks, it would make administering our model flags much…

RTC rule themes
It would be great if it was possible to theme in the GeoPlan on the basis of the rules which are active for a given object at the visible timestep.

Model results as TVD connectors
We'd like to have model results as an input in the TVD connectors. An example is where we have observed flows that we would like to use at a tributary and then switch to catchment flows when the observations run out. We know this can be done using a set up of sluices and dummy objects but it would be a lot more elegant to simply have the subcatchment as Input B. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples of where using model results as an input would be useful.
