  3. Statistic Report Batch Processing

    As a use the ability to 'schedule' statistical reports would be extremely useful. currently if i'm generating a spill report on several overflows for a 10yr TSR series this can take several hours. The process effectively locks the software and prevents any other operation from been undertaken. This is highly inefficient and costly especially when optioneering if several iterations are needed. Shorter TSR's can be run in this case however even a year with several CSO's can take 20-30mins.

  5. Integrate a Template option for setting out run group in Infoworks ICM

    I am working on project which includes 50 models. where we have to give runs for different return periods and durations for each model. It is a time taking process, which unnecessarily create chances of error by creating run setup every time. is it possible to include a run set up template, which can be changed as per the user requirement and saved for the further use.?

  6. Variable 2D roughness at low depths

    When applying direct rainfall onto 2D zones traditional roughness values do not typically apply, especially where the depths of water on the mesh element are very small. Often the workaround is to apply much higher roughness values in order to 'slow the flow'. It would be helpful to have a depth varying roughness that could be phased out as the water depth increases. This would put ICM in line with how TUFLOW and Flood Modeller Pro deal with the problem.

  7. Set up runs more efficiently

    Is there a matrix type tool in ICM that allows you to easily set up complicated run set ups? i.e. for this 1 Model Network, these runs with use these rainfall files, inflow files, WWG, etc are needed.

  8. Speed up the creation/amending of ICMTs

    Creating or amending ICMTs is slow, especially if they contain ground models. Even deleting or creating new 'folder' items in ICMTs is slow. Speeding this process up would increase productivity.

  9. Support for overlapping roughness zones in 2D

    I have a model that has masses of roughness polygons. invariably some of these overlap. I also have overlapping roughness zones where I have 'donut' features. My life would be SO much easier if meshing didn't fail when the roughness zones overlap. Can we p[ease have the restriction on these relaxed? If we have to specify a priority then that would be acceptable. It doesn't seem to be a problem with HEC-RAS or TUFLOW.... :-)

  10. Allow to import generic (geo)TIFF into Spatial TSDB

    Currently the only GeoTIFF standard supported in ICM Spatial TSDB is the MeteoGroup standard. But some Authorities in Germany deliver rainfall data as generic TIFF.
    It would be nice to extend the import feature to a generic GeoTIFF format.

  11. Additional keyboard shortcuts

    Keyboard shortcuts can really help speed up processes and workflows in InfoWorks ICM but some of the menu options do not yet have these. Would it be possible to add the missing keyboard shortcuts, specifically for repeatable tasks such as updating objects from ground models?

  12. Part load ICM results

    It would be helpful if you could open a specific part of a results file for a completed simulation run. For instance, schedule and complete a 10 year timeseries run but only load the last year of results.

    As others have mentioned on here, the option to open part of a bigger results file would limit the unnecessary long regeneration times, you could pick which variables you would like to load e.g. runoff only or depths and flows, and you could perform reports on part of the results.

    I appreciate I can run shorter periods i.e. yearly data rather than…

  13. GIM and infiltration zones

    When rainfall is applied to the 2D mesh with infiltration zones, it would be advantageous to have a GIM module that works with the infiltration zones, their infiltration model (i.e. Horton) and the sewer system to represent rainfall induce infiltration more effectively.

  14. Use ruby to edit rainfall dialogue box

    Exporting rainfall files to csv for manipulation creates details of the storm events themselves, we would like to be able to change the return periods, durations, multiplying factors shown in the rainfall dialogue editor instead.

  15. RTC rule themes

    It would be great if it was possible to theme in the GeoPlan on the basis of the rules which are active for a given object at the visible timestep.

  16. Structure flow mode reported in the results

    Sometimes when evaluating results at structures we see strange results that require investigation; invariably we find out that this is because the flow mode has changed. (e.g. from free to drowned). It would be very helpful if the ICM results were able to report the flow mode as a time-varying output. This would result in a lot of time saving when investigating models. For reference I am referring to the Flow Mode functionality that is available in InfoWorks RS and Flood Modeller Pro.

  17. Support for Hong Kong Observatory Rainfall Data

    The Hong Kong Observatory is the authority responsible for producing observed and forecast rainfall data for the territory. Their data is produced in a format not currently supported in ICMLive so we have to convert it into shape files to be used. Direct reading of this data would enable both more efficient data loading processes as well as reducing the potential for errors.

  18. Select which result variables you want to save

    The more functionalities become available in ICM, the larger results files grow and the less manageable they become (especially when running longer time series). In most cases people are only interested in very specific results (e.g. depth, flows, ... and not such things as all the detailed runoff components). So if one would be able to select at the simulation schedule which variables were to be stored), results file sizes (and hence results querying !) could be reduced enormeously.

  19. Incorporate ARR2019 Initial Loss & Continuing Loss (IL/CL) infilitration type for 2D Infiltration surfaces

    ICM currently allows 4 infiltration types in 2D infiltration types:

    -fixed
    -Horton
    -Constinf
    -GreenAmpt

    Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 talks default initial loss and continuing loss parameters for rural catchments, values for which which can be found in the BOM data hub.

    A new 2D infiltration type which allows the simple IL/CL would allow 2D modelling more inline with ARR2019.

  20. Automated Calibration Tool

    Tool similar to competing software where you can apply a level (%) of uncertainty and automatically sun simulations with varied parameters withing that level of uncertainty and see all results at once.
