A better copy function between networks might be usefull: e.g. Also copy the 'link head discharge' or 'conduit shape geometry' tables when copying a link from one network to an other. Or at least a popup allowing you to select which lists to copy or not.5 votes

On a Long-Section of a pipe, I would like ICM to show the unconnected pipes which cross that long-section. This would illustrate potential pipe clashes.
I imagine the unconnected pipes would be shown as circles on the long-section similar to how connected pipes are currently shown.5 votes
We need more information on the problem of pipe clashes. Are these unconnected pipes in the model or are they referencing Asset networks, or Water networks?
How granular of a view does one need? I.e. are you interesting in generally where these crossing occur, or are you trying to identify how close you can cross something else?
When applying direct rainfall onto 2D zones traditional roughness values do not typically apply, especially where the depths of water on the mesh element are very small. Often the workaround is to apply much higher roughness values in order to 'slow the flow'. It would be helpful to have a depth varying roughness that could be phased out as the water depth increases. This would put ICM in line with how TUFLOW and Flood Modeller Pro deal with the problem.16 votes

Is there a matrix type tool in ICM that allows you to easily set up complicated run set ups? i.e. for this 1 Model Network, these runs with use these rainfall files, inflow files, WWG, etc are needed.

It would be useful to get an autosum of a selection in the grid window at the bottom of the screen in much the same way Excel does. I know this can be done using the Overview function. But would be quicker and easier if it appeared in the panel at the bottom. i.e. if I was to select the population of a few subcatchments I would quickly be able to see the population. Perhaps also, if I changed scenarios I might be able to view changes in population between growth scenarios. Not essential, but nice to have.35 votes
I have a model that has masses of roughness polygons. invariably some of these overlap. I also have overlapping roughness zones where I have 'donut' features. My life would be SO much easier if meshing didn't fail when the roughness zones overlap. Can we p[ease have the restriction on these relaxed? If we have to specify a priority then that would be acceptable. It doesn't seem to be a problem with HEC-RAS or TUFLOW.... :-)7 votes
Storage nodes often represent detention basins or other locations with large areas. Pipes enter/leave from opposite sides. With the standard link/node configuration, one or more link will be mis-configured compared to the actual location.
I have long wanted to have a storage area polygon, with links connecting to the nearest edge, rather than the center.2 votes
Thank you for this request. I just wanted to confirm whether this was for display purposes only to allow for better representation of the actual configuration on site or whether the location of pipes was expected to influence the hydraulics in some way.
As an organisation we would like to export the data exposed in show details view in order to assist with reporting in relation disc storage/ utilisation i.e. ID associated with Model Group.
We store all our DAP models within a single Db so collecting manually is time consuming4 votes

In ICM I can sample elevations from ground model to cross section line and use that for river reaches, but sometimes I just want to use simple Channel links or maybe I'm using the SWMM engine which doesn't have rivers.
I want to pull the channel shape profile from a cross section line on the map to quickly configure simple 1D storm systems.2 votes
Keyboard shortcuts can really help speed up processes and workflows in InfoWorks ICM but some of the menu options do not yet have these. Would it be possible to add the missing keyboard shortcuts, specifically for repeatable tasks such as updating objects from ground models?22 votes
Currently the only GeoTIFF standard supported in ICM Spatial TSDB is the MeteoGroup standard. But some Authorities in Germany deliver rainfall data as generic TIFF.
It would be nice to extend the import feature to a generic GeoTIFF format.9 votes
Incorporate ARR2019 Initial Loss & Continuing Loss (IL/CL) infilitration type for 2D Infiltration surfaces
ICM currently allows 4 infiltration types in 2D infiltration types:
Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 talks default initial loss and continuing loss parameters for rural catchments, values for which which can be found in the BOM data hub.
A new 2D infiltration type which allows the simple IL/CL would allow 2D modelling more inline with ARR2019.9 votes
The following features should be added to Infoworks ICM for modelling temperature impacts for Heat extraction or heat insertion projects:
- Sewage temperature to be added in WWG file as a pollutograph parameter and can also be defined in a diurnal pattern to consider trade temperature profiles
- I&I temperatures can be extra entered
- Linear heat losses can be defined for standard pipe configurations towards an equilibrium temperature
- Temperature mixing at each node, based on WQ simulation engine
- Heat extraction or insertion possible at any model node2 votes
When the model results are displayed on the webpage through Exchange, since the basic properties need to be viewed, the corresponding basic properties of the results need to be exported first, and then the results are matched to the basic properties according to the ID for display. It is hoped that the option of exporting the basic properties and results together could be added1 vote
Sometimes (in ICM and IAM) in comparing 2 (or more) networks visually the networks are most of the time tiled horizontally of vertically. But when panning through one network, it would be very convenient that the other network(s) is/are also moving.
Suggestion: An option to visually connect different networks. One is the main and the other networks will be the connected and they will all get the same size. The connected networks will get the zoom factor and the extents of the main network. While panning through one of the networks (preferably the main network) the others will follow.2 votes
I would like to be able to analyse a number of simulations in terms of the worst flood depth per 2D mesh element. An integrated tool (along the lines of the already existing worst case grid output) would avoid the need to mess around in external GIS.1 vote

Using SQL to select gauged objects would allow their dynamic selection based on object properties, not just from a static list. This is an issue when testing scenarios if field names are added/changed. It is further compounded by selection lists becoming read-only after being used in a simulation, prompting a proliferation of duplicate selection list objects to update the list.1 vote
