More characters for flags
Having a 2 character flag limit in WS pro can be a bit limiting especially as other packages have more characters (ICM has 3 etc.)

Add ability to rename datasets, patterns, queries, etc
- Allow the "Change ID" tool to rename datasets, patterns, queries, etc.
- Make the "Change ID" window wider or resizeable to fit longer IDs.
10 votesPartially completed: “Change ID” window is now resizable. Functionality available from InfoWater Pro 3.5 Update 2. Target release data April 2021

Initial Tank Levels
It would be great to be able to change the initial tank levels without having to create a whole new tank data set or putting a duplicate tank in the current data set. That way, the initial tank level condition can be changed for any given scenario without having to worry about changes in tank geometry across all scenarios. I believe WaterGEMS allows you to do this so it would be great to see this functionality in InfoWater. Perhaps initial tank levels could be placed under the Initial Node Status controls?

Smart meters
Water utilities in Australia are installing smart meters in domestic and other non residential properties. Smart meters generates large data sets at each and every individual properties. Any thoughts to integrate those data in to the distribution network models?
6 votesDemand patterns/direct demands in WS Pro can be updated from Live Data by right-clicking on the demand diagram and selecting Update→From Live Data. Incrementing the number of demand categories within the demand diagram it has proven not to be expensive in terms of computational resources (different to the actual “pattern update” which could take long when performed against a wide spectrum of customers).

Be able to change the background colour
In InfoWorks the background colour for the GeoPlan is white - it would be beneficial to change this colour to the users choice to make particular features stand-out more clearly in the GeoPlan view

Head Units
In WS Pro it would be useful to be able to set the units for head in m AD. This used to be an option in WS. It can be confusing for people starting in or not familiar with modelling to differentiate between pressure and head and having this option would really help.

I want to be able to see what connected Agents are doing and trouble shoot connections from within WS Pro
A command centre program for WS Pro/IWLive runs which shows connected agents and marshallers and all the runs in a simulation workgroup in one place.
Better simulation workgroup diagnostics.I am trying to trouble shoot remote VPN issues and the IT guys don't understand what WS Pro is doing and Innovyze think it is VPN/firewall issues. Very hard to resolve as the issue is hard (impossible) to diagnose from within the software. The Marshaller can see all the remote agents, but is unable to send a sim to them over VPN. This worked fine when we were all onsite but…

water age - representing re-chlorination station by resetting age to 0 hrs
Depending on the size of the distribution/reticulation system water is often chlorination at the WTP and re-chlorinated at various locations within the network.
There is no way to reset the water age value at a reservoir or node etc. to represent a re-chlorination station. This makes it difficult to get an idea of the age of water in the reticulation since passing the last re-chlorination station.
Can this feature be added to the model?

I would like more informative error messages when trying to Change an ID
I tried to change the ID for a pump, but I overlooked the “Target Element Type” dropdown, which was automatically set to junction.
It took me a while to realize my mistake. It might be helpful to other users if the error messages/warnings (see below) were a bit more informative… I’d suggest something like “WARNING: Junction ID ‘P1240’ does not exist.” I think this would have helped me realize my error much sooner.
WARNING: unable to change Junction ID from 'P1240' to 'P1241'.
MESSAGE: no Junction ID was changed.2 votes -
InfoWater for QGIS
ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro are expensive and slow. QGIS is free and fast.

Node Name Generation Default
In WS PRO it would be great to be able to set Node Name Generation format as a default for all networks in a database instead of having to enter it in every time I want to add nodes to a network
5 votesThe functionality is already provided with the Digitisation Template in WS Pro. Please confirm what enhancement are you suggesting. Thanks

Set Area Codes- InfoWorks WS Pro
Add an "Exclude Selection List" option to the "set Area Codes" tool in IW WS Pro so that you can exclude selected links from the area code trace.

Add new run groups and move existing runs to these
I’ve currently got one very big run group which should’ve really been split into several different ones.
Is there a way to move around runs? In the explorer there’s only really the option to duplicate.4 votes -
I would like to add multiple rows simultaneously to the Multi-Species Node Initial Quality window.
Currently, the Multi-Species Node Initial Quality window only allows inserting or appending a single row at a time. I would like to add thousands of rows at once. The MSX tables could either be added to the DB Editor, or at least add a "Add Multiple Rows" option to the Multi-Species Node Initial Quality window, allowing the user to specify the number of rows to be added (such as 10,000 rows).

As a user, I would like to automate importing network from any external software (Synergi, Epanet, Aquis etc,) in model group
To complete the initial model set up with Exchange tool, it will be great if importing external software is also automated, as this will enable us do the complete set up in one go without opening the model.

Improvements to custom DB table fields
- Ability to modify the length of custom fields in the DB tables after they have been created. This is particularly a problem when you create a text field, but realize later it is too short. Another option would be to make the default text length 250 characters rather than 20.
- Better manager for custom fields. The user should be able to create a field once and choose which information DB tables to add it to. See example at link. https://ibb.co/CbFKnn2

A simple way to straighten short links to display symbols more clearly
When using the "Expand Short Links" option I find that the expanded links will inherit some geometric points from the adjacent links, and hence symbols for valves, meters etc may not display too well if adjacent to a pipe bend. It would be useful to have a function to delete all bends from a selected group of links, so as to straighten the links out to enable symbols to be displayed more clearly.

Edit Pump and Valve Curves in IWLive
IWLive is the perfect platform to examine how well valve and pump curves are simulating the actual behavior under a wide range of system conditions. If these could be modified in an incident run, it would save lots of time going back to WS to modify them.
